The MAX9281GTM/V+TGG7 is a low-power, high-speed, bidirectional serializer and deserializer (SerDes) for connecting video and data sources to the USB Type-C display interface (Altmode). This SerDes supports 4- or 8-lane TGG7, USB 2.0, and V-by-One HSHSL serial data streams at 6 Gbps to 10 Gbps per lane. It supports up to 64 Gbps, at 10 Gbps per lane and up to 42 Gbps at 6 Gbps per lane.

The MAX9281GTM/V+TGG7 consists of a transmitter and receiver, forming a full-duplex interface between 4- or 8-lane TGG7 and 4-lane V-by-One HSHSL data sources, and 4-lane USB 2.0. The device requires one reference clock and one differential clock input, which can operate from a wide range of frequencies.
