MAX9286G GN/VY + T is a serializer-deserializer IC designed for reliable transmission of high-speed data across multiple channels in long-distance transmission. It is suitable for applications such as LAN, 10/100/1000Base-T, PON, HDMI, DisplayPort, and many other high-speed serial data communications applications.
The product is available in either a GN (green) or VY (violet) package and features a 24/25-bit serializer and 25/24-bit deserializer, each with adjustable programmable output swing settings, multiple protocol support, low jitter, and an output clock data recovery (CDR) loop.
In its operation, the MAX9286G serializer takes the incoming 24-bit parallel data stream, performs data scrambling, then serializes it into a 25-bit data stream. In the transmission, the serialized stream is then reshaped and resynchronized with the receiver clock. The deserializer then takes the incoming 25-bit data stream and deserializes it into a 24-bit parallel data stream. The data is then descrambled internally and sent to the output pads.
The MAX9286G serializer-deserializer is used primarily for reliable high-speed data transmission applications. This IC is easy to use, thanks to its support for multiple protocols, and its adjustable programmable output swing settings. When used in a LAN application, the MAX9286G can reliably support transmission speed of up to 1000Mbps, as well as a variety of LAN protocols, including 10/100/1000Base-T and PON.
