The on-chip data controls, synchronization and error detection/correction ensure error-free data flow. Each transmit channel contains two separate byte-wide, pseudo-differential transmitters with a typical output swing of 1.2V and 400mV of common-mode voltage.

The receive channels of the MAX9291GTN+T allow the user to interface to widely varying signal levels from the serial link with an adjustable input sensitivity. Each receive channel contains two separate byte-wide, pseudo-differential receivers with a typical input swing of 0.95V and 400mV of common-mode voltage. The on-chip data control, synchronization and error correction is provided by the MAX9291GTN+T Error Detection and correction (EDC) logic. The EDC logic provides robust and error-free transmission of data.

The MAX9291GTN+T interface is designed to provide the user with a highly versatile and programmable solution, allowing users to select between various serial protocols and data rates of up to 4.25 Mbps per channel. The device supports the I2C and SPI serial protocols, enabling simple and robust communication between multiple devices on a single twisted-pair connection.
