The MAX9381ESA+ has a register-type flip-flop configuration which is composed of two latches. These latch outputs are connected to input nodes of the second latch. When the enable input is asserted, the second latch is enabled and the data is stored in it. As a result, the output of the second latch, which is connected to the first latch input, will be the same as the data stored in the first latch. In addition, the enable input is also connected to the reset input, thus, when it is asserted, the output of both latches will be reset to the reset state.The MAX9381ESA+ also has three outputs; the complementary output, the non-inverted output, and the non-complementary output. The non-inverted output is the open-drain output which is connected to the latch\'s output, while the complementary output is the open-drain output which is connected to the opposite of the output of the latch.
