MAX954ESA+T Application Field and Working Principle

The MAX954ESA+T is a linear amplifier specially designed to maintain a good balance between combination of high performance, low power consumption and cost efficiency, thus making it suitable for applications spanning from low noise and low power to high linearity, high gain and high data rates. Primarily, MAX954ESA+T is used in applications ranging from digital signal processing (DSP), medical instruments, precision instrumentation to networking and communication systems. Typically, a linear amplifier is used as a cost-effective solution to maximize signal quality in applications like healthcare, avionics, and telecommunication, etc. It is a power amplifier (PA), which increases the power of input signal by providing higher output power. As it is engineered to be linear, the output of the amplifier is proportional or linear to the input. This particular amplifier has an output gain of 26 dB minimum, with an associated Voltage-Gain (Vo/Vi) of 10.
