The MAX9767ETJ+T is a dual, low-power audio amplifier intended for use in low voltage portable applications such as cell phones and MP3 players. The MAX9767ETJ+T is a dual, low-power audio amplifier that offers high-performance, low-power audio amplification. It is designed to maximize battery life while providing excellent audio fidelity in a very small physical package. The MAX9767ETJ+T is capable of driving 16-ohm headphones, 28-ohm bridge-tied loads, or up to 35-mW stereo speakers.

The MAX9767ETJ+T operates over a wide supply voltage range from 1.8 V to 4.2 V and offers a wide power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 65 dB. The impressive PSRR allows the MAX9767ETJ+T to deliver high audio performance even in noisy supply environments. This makes the MAX9767ETJ+T particularly suited for use in battery-powered audio applications since the (PSRR) typically increases with decreasing supply voltage. In addition to its exceptional PSRR, the MAX9767ETJ+T offers a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of up to 94.5 dB and an A-weighted total harmonic distortion + noise (THD+N) of 0.004 % at a power level of 2.8 mW.

The MAX9767ETJ+T features two gain settings, G1 and G2, which allow the gain of each audio channel to be independently adjusted. G1 provides a fixed, low-gain setting ideal for low-gain applications. G2 can be setusing external resistors and is adjustable over a range of -6 dB to +6 dB. The device also offers a mute feature for reducing audible pops on shutdown. This mute control is inverted, so it appears as an active-high signal.

The MAX9767ETJ+T is protected from excessive output current conditions, thermal overloading, and subsonic filtering. The device also offers power-saving sleep and shutdown modes.
