MB39C031-EVB-01 is an evaluation board used in off-line switch-mode power supply (SMPS) applications. This signal conditioning section alters the signals from the AC power line to a form that can be used by the bridge converter, the PFC converter and the SMPS. The bridge converter then boosts or buck AC input voltage into the DC bus voltage of 375V. This DC voltage is then regulated by the PFC converter to a stable pre-set voltage. The SMPS modulator adjusts the amount of power from the PFC converter to different loads.Additionally, the MB39C031 includes protection devices to prevent over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature conditions as well as a wide input range charge pump for maximum efficiency. It also features automatic power-up sequencing and line compensation functions that make it suitable for both low-voltage and high-power applications.The MB39C031-EVB-01 evaluation board provides evaluation engineers with a quick setup platform for testing and developing power supplies utilizing the MB39C031.
