MB7469-121, developed by several Japanese companies, is a high-performance ultrasonic transceiver module which is widely applied in various fields such as factory automation, robotics, medical and consumer applications. This transceiver module contains both the transmitter and the receiver, as shown in Figure 1. It can transmit and receive ultrasound signals within the ultrasonic frequency range of 20kHz to 200kHz.The module mainly consists of the Transmitter, the Receiver, the Control circuit and the power supply system. The Control circuit will convert the signal to digital data for further processing.In addition, the module also contains a power supply system which consists of a DC/DC converters, AC/DC power converter and Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery. The power supply system is used to provide the required power for the module’s operation. The DC/DC converter is used for converting the voltage from the AC/DC power converter into the required voltage levels for the control circuit and other components in the module. The module uses ultrasound for communication and navigation purposes. It can be used for object tracking and collision avoidance, as well as mapping and environmental analysis.
