<p>The MC10H116DG is an eight-channel differential line receiver designed for use in high-performance, high-speed dataphone applications, such as in the telecommunications industry. It has a low power consumption and is designed to be used as a substitute for four bipolar line receivers, eliminating the need for external bias networks and limiting resistors. The MC10H116DG also features a patent-pending data sheet synchronization technique, which reduces the power and eliminates the need for additional external discrete components. </p><p>The MC10H116DG Application Field</p><p>The MC10H116DG is suitable for applications such as communications related systems that require low-power high-speed data transmission over long distances. It is a popular choice for telecommunications and DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) applications, as well as for local area networks. The MC10H116DG is designed to replace four bipolar line receivers, reducing power consumption, eliminating the need for external bias networks and limiting resistors, and reducing the total component count. As such, it is also suitable for use in other communications related systems such as close-range mobile device connections, as well as in industrial automation and consumer electronics. </p><p>The MC10H116DG Working Principle</p><p>The MC10H116DG is an eight-channel differential line receiver that operates in two stages—a control and an input stage. The control stage consists of a logic block and logic circuit, which are used to control the input stage. The control stage is responsible for setting up and resetting the device’s internal logic as well as for providing the necessary control signals for the input stage. The input stage is responsible for receiving and amplify the input signals from the differential lines and driving them to the output pins. The driver to the output pins is connected through a separate enable/disable (E-D) pin. </p><p>The MC10H116DG has a minimum input voltage of -8 VDC to +8 VDC, and a maximum supply voltage of 18 VDC. It has an input pair sensitivity of -30 dBm, and a maximum output power of +15 dBm. The device is also capable of driving up to 15mA load current, and a maximum unit-to-unit crosstalk of -80 dB. Additionally, the device offers a patented data sheet synchronization technique which eliminates external components for resetting the device and reduces power consumption. </p><p>The MC10H116DG is available in 16-pin DIP (dual-in-line package), and is RoHS compliant.
