AC DC Converters

The MC5-6-OV-A is a single phase, zero voltage turn-on, high voltage switch-mode, DC-to-AC inverter designed to provide power to residential and commercial air-conditioning systems. The system features a transformerless Buck-Boost design that provides reliable operation in all climates, and includes both short circuit and overload protection for added safety and system damage control. The inverter has a power rating of up to 500 W, and comes with an advanced microprocessor- based control circuit for optimal performance.

The MC5-6-OV-A is designed to convert DC voltage input from the power source, such as a photovoltaic (PV) panel, into a single-phase AC voltage for powering an air-conditioner or other residential and commercial equipment. The inverter uses advanced PWM switching technology to achieve maximum power conversion efficiency, while providing excellent transient response to load changes. It also features an innovative fast-start function that quickly increases power output to the load, without system instability.

The MC5-6-OV-A operates in buck-boost mode and features a wide voltage range input of 3-150 VDC.
