The MEX-1031 is a high performance thermocouple amplifier evaluation board. The board provides a suite of sensors, including type K thermocouples, as well as a range of user-selectable temperature scales and gain-controlled signal ranges. The board also includes a highly accurate digital temperature sensor which allows the user to accurately measure temperatures over a wide range of environments. The MEX-1031 evaluation board is ideal for a range of applications including industrial instrumentation, process control systems, medical and laboratory equipment, automotive and aerospace sensors, and environmental monitoring.

The MEX-1031 evaluation board utilizes a sophisticated thermocouple design which features a ruggedized, cast stainless steel construction that allows for increased accuracy and durability in extreme temperatures and high shock and vibration environments. It uses a precision-calibrated analogue amplifier to provide a signal range of 0-5V DC or 0-12V DC and a variety of gain-controlled and temperature-scaling feature sets are available. An onboard digital-to-analog converter (DAC) provides the user with the capability to acquire temperature readings remotely from thermocouples on a wide range of temperature scales.

The MEX-1031 evaluation board also features an integrated analog measurement circuit which enables the user to measure temperature as well as detect the presence of a number of other gases and liquids. The presence of these gases, liquids and temperature can be measured and controlled with the wide range of communications options available such as 4-20mA current loop data transfer, RS-232/RS-485, and CANbus. Additionally, the board features a highly accurate digital temperature sensor that is included with all versions.

When used in combination with the MEX-1031 evaluation board, the integrated temperature sensor provides a highly accurate direct readout of temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. This allows the user to measure temperatures in a range of applications without the need for additional thermocouple components or transducers. Additionally, the board features two 5V DC power supply inputs, allowing the user to attach thermocouple probes directly to the board.
