PTC Resettable Fuses, such as MF-MSMF150/24X-2, are the counterpart of traditional fuses. They are electronically operated fuses that react to a sudden surge in current by opening up the circuit for a pre-defined amount of time, then automatically resetting to their original state and allowing current to flow through the circuit again. The key advantage of using a PTC is that, unlike traditional fuses, they do not need to be replaced after current surges.
