Working Principle

The MF-PSML075-2 PTC Resettable Fuses are a solid-state component which offer reliable over-current and over-temperature protection in a convenient, easy to use package. The PTC element acts both as a current limiting element and as a thermal shut-off element. When the temperature of the PTC element is raised above a fixed temperature, it will shut off the current flow, thus providing over-temperature protection. When the current is restored, the PTC element will relax and reset the circuit automatically.
