PTC Resettable Fuses
PTC (Positive Temperature Co-efficient) Resettable Fuses or PTCR, are devices used to protect electrical circuits from overload and short circuit. They work on the principle of electromechanical resistance, where the resistance increases as the current flowing through it increases beyond a certain level. Unlike traditional fuses, which need to be replaced after they trip, PTCR can be reset easily after the over-current condition is removed. They are also known as polyfuses, polyswitches or self-resettable fuses.MF-RG1100-AP is a PTCR that has been designed for use in a wide range of applications.
