MFR25SFTF52-2K is a high-accuracy, high-reliability and robust through-hole resistor. It is primarily used in aerospace, automotive and defense applications requiring in-circuit stability and increased resistance temperatures. The device has a rated power of 2 Watts and is available in a range of available resistances from 5ohms to 25kohms. The through-hole design of MFR25SFTF52-2K offers precise resistance values and autosealing technology to ensure superior electrical connection properties in demanding environmental applications. Nichrome, a combination of nickel and chromium, has a higher resistance to current and, therefore, creates a resistance heater when an electrical current flows through it. This resistance of the Nichrome element generates heat and, at the same time, decreases the current flowing through the component. This, in turn, leads to a steady voltage across the resistor. The resistor dissipates part of the energy in the form of heat.
