DC-DC converters are power electronic circuits which convert one direct current (DC) input to another DC output. The most common type of converter is the buck converter (also known as a step-down converter), in which the input voltage is greater than the output voltage. The most common type of buck converter is the MI-223-IY-F4 buck converter.

The MI-223-IY-F4 converter is a single output series controller step-down converter, with a nominal input voltage of 4.5-75V DC, and a maximum input voltage of 90V DC. The output voltage is adjustable from 1.2V-34V DC and the maximum output current is up to 40A. The switching frequency of the MI-223-IY-F4 converter can be set in the range of 100KHz-600KHz for efficiency optimization.

The MI-223-IY-F4 converter is a current mode controlled non-synchronous buck converter designed to provide an efficient, reliable and cost-effective power solution for a wide range of applications. It is suitable for applications such as point-of-load applications, automotive systems, industrial systems and consumer electronics.

The MI-223-IY-F4 converter is designed to operate in CCM (Constant Current Mode) over a wide output current range to provide continuous modulation.
