The MI-26M-MX-F3 DC-DC converter is an advanced unit that uses a novel multi-level design to provide an excellent level of efficiency, as well as high reliability and robustness.

The MI-26M-MX-F3 is a three-level, isolated, DC-DC converter. It is designed to provide a high input-to-output voltage conversion ratio, with a minimum input voltage of ≤ 20VDC and a maximum output voltage of 350V. It features an operating temperature range of -20ºC to +70ºC and a wide range of protection features, such as over current, over voltage, and over temperature protection.

The main components of the MI-26M-MX-F3 are the AC-DC bridge rectifier, EMI filters, thermistor, PFC Boost inductor, main switch, and the three-level DC-DC converter. The AC-DC bridge rectifier converts the AC mains voltage into a unregulated DC voltage. This DC voltage is then filtered by EMI and thermistor filters for EMI/RFI protection. The filtered DC is passed through a PFC boost inductor that boosts the mains voltage for buck/boost applications. The main switch is then used to regulate the output voltage of the converter.

The three-level DC-DC converter then takes the output of the main switch and generates a regulated, isolated, DC output voltage. This is done by using an inductor in the secondary side of the converter. This inductor boosts the DC voltage from the main switch, allowing the converter to provide a higher output voltage.
