Its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C further expands its application range.

The device consists of a PWM control IC, an oscillator and a totem-pole transistor. The internal current-mode pulse-width modulation (PWM) control IC employs an error amplifier, reference voltage source, comparator and driver, along with other circuitry to provide complete control over the output voltage and current. By setting the feedback voltage divider ratio, the IC will precisely control the output voltage as desired.

At the heart of the MI-27M-IY are switching transistors that keep the power transformer resonantly driven outside the hard switching period and reduce switching losses.
