In the proximity detection mode, it can detect objects within a range of 10 cm.The MLX90316KDC-BCG-200-SP is based on Hall-effect technology. It consists of two Hall-effect sensors, a coil, and a magnet attached to an object. The sensors measure the inductance of an AC field generated by the circuit in the presence of the magnet. The detection of the magnet is used to determine linear and rotary positions and provide signals for an encoder.
