Working Principle

The MLX90364LVS-ADB-201-SP utilizes an integrated Hall effect sensor which works by measuring the magnetic field strength generated by a specified magnetic field. When it is used with a linear magnetic field, it offers a linear resolution of 0.4mm. And when used with a bipolar magnetic field, it offers a linear resolution of 0.6mm. Each of these magnetic fields offers a virtual linearity error within 0.2%.
