The MLX90367KDC-ABV-000-TU is an angular position sensor with a high degree of accuracy which is designed for applications in the automotive industry. This sensor is able to measure angular position up to 360° and can do so with a high degree of accuracy, making it ideal for numerous automotive applications including power steering systems, anti-lock brakes, automatic vehicle suspension and tire pressure monitoring systems.The MLX90367KDC-ABV-000-TU is a magnetic-field based angle sensor. The device is outfitted with a magnetoresistive (MR) element which provides temperature stability as well as a high-accuracy measurement of the angular position. The sensing element provided with the sensor is a half-bridge arrangement of four magnetoresistive elements referred to as the MR bridge. These elements measure the variation in magnetic field due to a shift in the angular position of the target. The variation in magnetic fields leads to a shift in the resistive value of the sensing element. This change in the resistance is then measured and converted into an analog voltage by the sensor. This can then be read and converted into the corresponding angular position. The angle is determined by the following equation: Angular Position = Magnetic Field (Measured Value) - Magnetic Field(Zero Position).The MLX90367KDC-ABV-000-TU is a highly accurate angular position sensor with a wide temperature range, which makes it ideal for a variety of automotive applications.
