TVS – Varistors, MOVs are one of the well-known, widely used surge protection devices. MOV-14D821K is a general purpose high voltage varistor device manufactured by Littelfuse. This device is designed for both EFT (electrical fast transients) and surge protection.
The MOV-14D821K is a two-terminal AC suppressor in axial lead package with a symmetrical clamping voltage of specific test waveform with high current rating, 1500A (8/20µs) of peak impulse current. The midpoint of MOV-14D821K’s clamping voltage is typically 14V at 8/20µs and approximately 21V at 10/160µs.
MOV-14D821K application field and working principle
MOV-14D821K is commonly used in HVAC (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning) controllers, computer peripherals, and telecom equipment.
