 MOV-20D181KTR is a kind of transil type metal oxide varistor, commonly used for transient voltage surge suppression for lightning and switching devices. The device is used for protection against inrush, overvoltage, overcurrent, and EMI/RFI noise.

The MOV-20D181KTR varistors consist of an zine oxide disk encased in a plastic case. The disk has an outer oxide coating, which prevents the internal electrical contacts from going bad.
