MP2483DQ-LF-P Working Principle:

In order to address the automotive power requirements, the MP2483DQ-LF-P LED driver IC is designed to accurately control LED current up to 3.1 A with less than 1 % ripple. The LED driver contains a 3-channel buck regulator to provide a single, digitally adjustable output current which features a wide adjustment range of 1 to 3.1 A. It is capable of driving up to five LEDs in series connected or two LEDs in parallel. The `buck` current source design, allows output voltage to be adjusted to different values to match the forward voltage of various LEDs, thus ensuring LEDs are driven at their recommended maximum current but not overdriven.
