MS3180-20C circular connector is designed for airborne applications such as in commercial passenger aircraft or military/space applications. This MIL-DTL 38999 Series III connector is a part of the Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) of the United States Department of Defense. Designed for use in high vibration applications, it resists up to 500 hours of salt spray exposure test as well as operating in very high temperature environments, from -65°C/-85°F up to +200°C/+392°F.

MS3180-20C circular connectors come with an 18-20 AWG wire and a 19-22 AWG pin as standard. They offer two plating options - Nickel-Aluminum-Bronze (NAB) which consist of 74% nickel, 17% aluminum and 9% bronze and Electroless Nickel (EN) which consists of 95% nickel and 5% phosphorous. The tin plating option is often used in aviation applications, while the hard gold plating is used for static sensitive and high wear resistance applications.
