MSP-WDS430BT1000AD is a powerful and cost-effective RF Evaluation and Development Kit, Board System designed by Texas Instruments (TI), specifically tailored to enhance radio system designs in a variety of applications. This RF Evaluation and Development Kit, Board System utilizes WindRiver SoftwareTM integrated with TI’s wireless connectivity features to enable users to create mainible and controllable wireless technology within an embedded system. It is aimed to be an important tool for designers and developers of wireless communication stack and protocols in both the MCU and network components of the wireless embedded system.

This RF Evaluation and Development Kit, Board System comes with the MSP-WDS430BT1000AD Wireless Starter Kit (WSK). This kit includes a MSP430FR2522 MCU, Bluetooth® Low Energy Module, a Base Board, an LCD display module, a 10-pin debug interface and a Zero-G RF antenna. The Bluetooth Module is paired with the WDS430BT 1000AD chipset that supports Bluetooth Low Energy specifications 4.2 and higher, and provides 1Mbps of RX and 1Mbps of TX. It also provides up to 10m of range and up to 200K connections per second in range, and supporting 512 MB of Flash memory.

The WSK allows users to develop Bluetooth Low Energy applications with secure connections that are configurable and secure, which makes it an ideal solution for building and maintaining the communication structure necessary for an embedded system. In addition, the data and connection parameters of the system can be easily updated with the board system, allowing for easy debugging and further development. The WSK also includes built-in support for the TI Simplelink, Code Composer Studio, IAR Embedded Workbench, and MSPDebug toolchains, providing users with a wide range of tools for development.

The MSP-WDS430BT1000AD board also features an event-based programming mode, which provides users with a unique way of programming the system through a simple event-based programming model. This allows for easy programming of all the functions of the board and helps in eliminating multiple layers of code for each task. Additionally, the board has an integrated DMA controller for onboard low-level communication between peripherals, making it suitable for embedded systems with high-speed operations.
