MTI-10-2A5G4-DK is a great sensor evaluation board that can measure motion in many applications. With its three-dimensional motion sensor and robust digital processing algorithms, the MTI-10-2A5G4-DK can measure up to nine motion vectors at any given time using the accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer.

The MTI-10-2A5G4-DK is ideal for use in a wide range of applications, such as navigation, location systems, robotics, virtual reality and motion tracking. It is designed to be used in both vehicle and non-vehicle applications. Additionally, the MTI-10-2A5G4-DK is extremely accurate and reliable, making it suitable for many demanding scenarios.

The MTI-10-2A5G4-DK utilizes a MEMS IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to measure motion. This device consists of multiple sensing elements, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. The IMU detects changes in motion and orientation by measuring accelerations in three dimensions (X, Y, and Z) and by estimating the angular rotation around the three axes. Additionally, the magnetometer measures the direction and intensity of local magnetic fields.

The MTI-10-2A5G4-DK uses an advanced Digital Motion Processor, coupled with a powerful ARM Cortex-M7 processor, to measure motion and position more accurately. The ARM CPU processes the raw measurements from the IMU and creates an accurate motion output that reflects the user’s movement, all without samplings of the position and orientation of the sensor.

The ARM Cortex-M7 processor then provides this estimated motion data to the user in a data package that is simple and easy to interpret. This package is composed of three components: the linear acceleration vector (X, Y, Z) in millimeter per second, the angular rate vector (X, Y, Z) in milli-degrees per second, and an estimate of true North direction in direction-celestial coordinates in milli-degrees.

The MTI-10-2A5G4-DK evaluation board provides versatile, accurate and reliable motion sensing in many applications.
