MX575ABH250M000 is a compact high performance Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) designed for frequency control and references. It is widely used in communication systems which require low jitter clock references, such as Ethernet and Sync-E networks.

The combination of very low jitter performance (0.20ps Typ RMS) with an exceptionally narrow tunable range of 6.25MHz makes the device well suited for applications requiring a precise and stable clock frequency, such as base station timing and synchronization systems.

Working Principle

MX575ABH250M000 utilizes a temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO). It is a quartz crystal oscillator which employs a negative temperature coefficient of frequency (NTCF) quartz crystal to compensate for the effects of temperature variations on crystal oscillator stability. The oscillator includes a voltage control input to vary the frequency within the range specified, up to ±12.5MHz. This feature eliminates the need for a costly Frequency Synthesizer and reduces the effort required for system design.

The newly designed three-state S / PDIF output circuit has a ground reference output current that reduces EMI and RFI problems, making it a smart choice for applications requiring precise clock signal transmission.

The device includes an ENABLE pin that allows the output signal to be disabled when the frequency is adjusted. Additionally, the BREAKDOWN voltage can be adjusted to prevent the device from entering ENABLE mode. This feature is useful for protecting circuits from high frequency radiation in the event of sudden voltage spikes.
