NA-10M-6817 Application Field and Working Principle

The NA-10M-6817 series are typified by three types of high frequency oscillators, HFO-F XG, HFO-F XT, HFO-F XJ, all of which use a combination of the basic oscillator circuits that feature different frequency ranges and stability. Each of these oscillators combines a high-frequency oscillator (HFO) IC with a combined oscillator circuit for wide frequency range, high stability products.

The HFO-F XG type oscillator is the most important of the abovementioned types, as it is a downconversion oscillator: providing an output signal of the order of several hundred kHz to low MHz with a frequency range of up to 345 MHz. The HFO-F XT type oscillator is an upconversion oscillator: producing an output signal of several hundred kHz to low MHz with a frequency range up to 345 MHz. The HFO-F XJ type oscillator is a doubly-conversion oscillator, producing an output signal of several hundred kHz to low MHz with a frequency range of up to 690 MHz.

When using the NA-10M-6817 series oscillator there are some important considerations: the frequency range of the oscillator should correspond with the signal application; the supply voltage should correspond with the oscillator\'s specified operating voltage; and the temperature coefficient should be given some thought, as the circuit\'s temperature coefficient can cause the operating frequency to drift.

This series of oscillators is primarily intended for use within a variety of consumer electronic products and amateur radio operation. Its most common applications include high-frequency switching, such as in mobile phones, radio transceivers and various other communication/telecommunication equipment. The NA-10M-6817 series oscillators can also be used in digital clock references, wide-band synthesizers, and radiometric timers.

Through variations on this basic principle, a variety of oscillators can be created.
