NHD-0216K1Z-NS(RGB)-FBW-REV1 is a Display Modules – LCD, OLED Character and Numeric manufactured by Newhaven Display. It is a 16 characters wide x 2 line character LCD Module with RGB background, FSTN positive backing and white segment. This small and reliable display makes it suitable for education, home, industrial and other applications.The LCD Module has an active area of 2.90”(73.70mm) wide x 0.50”(12.7mm) high with a module size of 3.00”(77.00mm) wide x 0.75”(19.05mm) high. Its viewing area is easily readable from a wide angle. It is constructed with a film to glass technology and the LCD glass contains 6 o’clock viewing direction with a wide temperature range of -20°C and +70°C. With a white LED backlight and LED backlight driver, NHD-0216K1Z-NS(RGB)-FBW-REV1 is supplied in byte mode and can support up to 120 characters.The NHD-0216K1Z-NS(RGB)-FBW-REV1 is RoHS compliant, making it safe to use in flexible printed circuit and other materials. Its interface includes 8 bit and 4 bit, parallel and serial, as well as I2C, SPI, and etc. It has a supply voltage of 3.00 Volts for logic, +/- 5 volts for LCD, 70mA for +5 volts of back light. It also offers a 1/14 duty cycle, 1/16 bias and 4, 5, 6 way fonts. Apart from the hardware of NHD-0216K1Z-NS(RGB)-FBW-REV1, this display module actually works by the communication. When it communicates with the processor, it requires a certain format. It first need to enter the write and read data sign, followed by a start bit.
