CdS (Cadmium Sulfide) cells are one of the far most popular Optical Sensor - Photo Detectors whose applications range from low light intensity detection to high light intensity detection.

The NSL-5150 optoelectronics assembly package is a type of CdS Cells which utilize the unique characteristics of two light interfaces, the junction of a CdS and a light sensitive surface.
