P-NUCLEO-USB002 is an evaluation and demonstration boards and kits designed to develop applications with USB 2.0 high speed certified transceivers. It consists of two STM32Nucleo boards, one embedded STM32CubeF4 evaluation software and one USB 2.0 high speed certified transceiver. P-NUCLEO-USB002 enables users to create a USB 2.0 high speed certified platform with the STM32 Nucleo-F4 development board.

The application field of P-NUCLEO-USB002 mainly involves USB 2.0 high speed controller design and application development. It is suited for all the applications which require the high performance of USB-2.0, including USB2.0 High speed OS X/Linux/Win8/Android systems development and testing, USB 2.0 software Development, USB2.0 Protocol Development and measurements, USB2.0 High speed certification, USB 2.0 High speed hardware design, USB2.0 peripheral development and more.

P-NUCLEO-USB002 includes two STM32 NUCLEO-F4 development boards, one STM32CubeF4 evaluation software package and one USB 2.0 high-speed certified transceiver board. The transceiver board is implemented with STMicroelectronics TTC6100 or TTC6200. The board contains both the Digital and Physical Serial Links, which are used for channel1-channel4 of the USB 2.0 high speed connections. It achieves USB 2.0 high speed operation on both power and data lines.

The STM32 Nucleo-F4 board consists of an STM32F405RGT6 microcontroller featuring 256 KB of flash memory, 64 KB of SRAM in an LQFP144 package, an external memory interface, two 12-bit DACs, two 14-bit ADCs, 18 TIMs, two I2C, three SPIs, two USARTs, an Ethernet MAC, a USB OTG peripheral, and a camera interface.

Moreover, the STM 32 Nucleo-F4 board also has the Nucleo board power selection switch, which will enable users to choose the power setting either from the USB connection or from an external supply with the proper voltage (3 - 3.6V). The power selection switch will make sure that the power supplied will fit the specific board needs.

The STM32CubeF4 evaluation software package helps users build a power efficient, stable and fast USB 2.0 High Speed protocol. It provides USB High speed certified transceivers with a pre-tested embedded USB 2.0 High speed software package. It is also very easy to integrate with the existing STM32 NUCLEO-F4 USB full-speed code.

The USB High speed certified transceivers provides an additional hardware platform with USB debug and emulation features. This platform enables users to design and debug their software’s implementation of the USB 2.0 high speed communication protocol. Debugging and testing of High speed USB 2.0 stacks or applications becomes easier with this embedded platform.
