P08-060PLC-B-G is a type of rectangular connectors arrays, edge type, mezzanine (board-to-board). The P08-060PLC is a cost-effective solution designed for tight, space or weight limited environments.

The P08-060PLC-B-G can be used to connect two or more printed circuit boards (PCB) together. It features a two-piece construction consisting of a housing which surrounds the mating area of the board and a stacked membrane array which encompasses the mating area with a double sided surface mount contact. The connection between the board and the membrane is a simple press-fit snap. This coupling provides excellent mechanical connection for board-to-board applications.

The contact area of the P08-060PLC-B-G rectangular connectors is arranged in a pattern of rows and columns. This allows them to be mated with standard electronic components such as ICs and connectors. The contacts are arranged in a staggered array configuration which provides a higher density connection than other available arrangements, allowing for a greater number of connections to a single PCB. The contact area of the P08-060PLC-B-G includes four rows, each containing sixty staggered contacts which are arranged in a diamond shape. The contacts provide both electrical and mechanical connections between two mating boards. This design offers multiple contact points which provide improved signal integrity and contact reliability.

The P08-060PLC-B-G can also be used as a power connector. The design of the contact area can be modified to include higher current-carrying capacities by changing the size of the contact area, as well as the number of contacts. This allows for current levels up to 25 amps or more.
