P0900EBRP1 Application Field And Working Principle
The P0900EBRP1 is a silicon gate Commuter thyristor, specially designed for power electronics applications. It is suitable for all types of switching operations including arc welding, inverters up to 5 kV, AC motor control, and AC and DC drives. It offers a fast and reliable switch that is capable of safely and efficiently controlling high power loads.
The P0900EBRP1 is a three-electrode Commuter with an integrated 175 A gate current rating. It has a very low switching voltage drop and is capable of controlling currents up to 750 A, peak currents of up to 2000 A, and up to 15 kV blocking voltage.

Application Field

Working Principle
The P0900EBRP1 is based on the principle of a two-domain thyristor switch. It consists of two semiconductor switches. When the gate circuit supplies a signal to the P0900EBRP1, the switch between the two semiconductors opens and the current can flow through. Once the gate circuit has been removed the switch closes again and the current is stopped.
The P0900EBRP1 can handle up to 750 A of continuous current, offering a very fast and reliable switch that can control high power loads safely and efficiently.
