The P1708CF-08SR is an advanced clock generator and frequency synthesizer, designed to provide versatile multi-output frequency synthesizer solutions with multiple oscillators and programmable output dividers. It is an ideal choice for a variety of applications spanning consumer and industrial, communications, peripheral consumer and multimedia, and automotive. Its high performance tuning range of several hundred MHz allows it to accurately generate output clock signals even at low frequencies.
The P1708CF-08SR has an extremely low jitter clock generator, and a 32-bit fractional frequency multiplier (FFM) to achieve a high degree of accuracy and to precisely tune output signals. It also features an on-board temperature compensation circuit to provide excellent jitter performance, even in changing environmental conditions. This makes it highly suitable for multi-output frequency synthesizers, and for other demanding applications.
The P1708CF-08SR has two outputs, one for the reference clock and one for the generated clock signal. The reference clock output can be programmed to match the desired frequency or pulse width of existing hardware, allowing for easy integration into existing systems. The generated clock output can be configured to generate output frequencies with a fractional division network of up to 32-bits. It also has an 8-bit programmable prescaler to reduce noise on the output of the generated clock signal.
The P1708CF-08SR also allows for synchronization of multiple devices. With the ability to generate a reference clock signal and a variable reference output, the device can synchronize up to four other P1708CF-08SR’s in parallel.
