PBC02SBCN is a rectangular connector which is specifically designed for automated assembly application. It is a two-row, high-reliability, polarizing mated connector system. PBC02SBCN connectors come in a dual row spacing of 2.5mm (0.098”) pitch and use signal and power contacts.Ease and speed in automated assembly are the primary motives for the connector selection.

PBC02SBCN headers are made up of an insulator (housing) and a PCB edge mount foot.These headers are made up of plastics such as: Nylon 46 (UNS N06600) and reinforced nylon 4T. The standard PBC02SBCN mating system comes in a three-position size of 1.2mm x 2.5mm (0.047"x0.098"), terminal layout of rectangular/square grid, and contact termination of solder pin and solder tail.

The male pins comprise of a wire looped (stranded) contact and a hold down clamp. These male pins also come in either brass OR copper material, reflow tin plate OR E-coat nickel plate gold plated.PBC02SBCN male pins are available in pins sizes of 1.2mm (0.047”) and come with mated heights of 1.25mm (0.049”). The PBC02SBCN male pins come with stranding contacts in either UL 758/UL 1569/Tin plate OR E-coat nickel plate gold plated.

This set of plug-and-socket device uses seaming joints. The jointed pins provides strength and stability for the mating process. This rectangular connector uses a rectangular array that interlocks and firmly joins the two connectors for a secure connection. The connection is based on mechanical mating and removable connection.

The working principle of PBC02SBCN is that the mated pin and socket contact each other. The pins are held securely by the plunger-type electrical contact. The surface of contact between the socket and pin is made of precision-molded material with excellent electrical characteristics. This helps to make sure that the connection is without much noise and transmission loss.

The mated contact has very good EMI shielding capability. It provides good insulation against excessive voltage, current or radio signal interference. The isolation between the socket and pin is maintained to prevent damage to the connection from external events such as voltage surges.

These connectors are suitable for low to medium speed signals, power and control applications.The pluggable nature of the connector allows for quickly assembling/dismantling the connection which in turn simplifies fault finding. It further conforms to the standards of RoHS, REACH, and UL 94V-0. PBC02SBCN connectors are widely used in OEM systems, communication, home appliances, automotive electronics, and more.
