Thermal - Thermoelectric, Peltier Modules

Thermoelectric modules (TEM) are solid-state heat pumps that use the Peltier effect to convert electrical energy into thermal energy. TEMs can be used in applications such as heating, cooling, temperature control, and thermal management. They are generally composed of an array of p-type and n-type semiconductor materials, connected electrically in series and thermally in parallel. In a Peltier module, when current is applied, heat is transferred from one side of the module to the other, depending on the polarity of the current applied. Heat transfer can be maximized by increasing the current or by coupling with a secondary heat sink.
