PCM2903CDBR is an audio system that includes an Onboard USB serial interface controller, a stereo codec, headphone amplifiers, S/PDIF transceiver, and embedded audio signal processing features. This family of applications is suitable for media player/recorder, portable audio and automotive audio applications. The USB serial interface allows for easy communication with a PC or standalone embedded controllers. The two-channel lotate is accessed via the I2S Serial Audio Interface (SAI) of the controller.

The PCM2903CDBR accepts digital audio streams from 8- or 16-bit PCM sources with sample rates from 8 kHz to 48 kHz. The stereo lotate supports playback of PCM data stored in MCU memory or streamed from audio sources, such as transducers, a CD/DVD player, or a mini disk system. The built-in A/D optical/Electrical input supports direct recording of external sources.
