PE-53651NLT is a fixed inductors design and manufactured by Pulse Electronics. It is a rectangular, box-type, molded inductor with a reduce profile of 1mm high and wire termination options of insulated sleeving and straight wires. This inductor offers excellent AC and DC performance, and is ideal for switching mode power supply designs as well as other DC-DC and AC-DC power supply applications.

Specifically, the PE-53651NLT has an inductance range of .33 μH to 4.7 μH and an operating temperature range of -55 deg C to +125 deg C, they are also capable of handling an operating frequency of up to 2 Mhz and are rated for full temperature operation at +125 deg C. The core material is MnZn ferrite with Nomex sleeving for insulation of the inner winding.

The fixed inductor works on the principle of mutual induction. This principle states that when a current flows through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced around the conductor and this magnetic field induces an emf in the surrounding circuit. This induced emf produces a current flow in the surrounding circuit and the amount of current induced depends on the strength of the magnetic field created by the conductor. It is the strength of this magnetic field which determines the magnitude of the inductance.

The PE-53651NLT fixed inductor is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including DC-DC and AC-DC power supplies and other products requiring small sized components. It is also suitable for use in off-line power supplies, frequency converters and other SMPS related applications. It provides good high frequency performance, low loss and high Q characteristics.

In addition, the PE-53651NLT offers an excellent power–to-size ratio, with a power handling capability of up to 2W and a low profile measuring only 1mm height. The inductors also feature Nomex sleeving for insulation of the inner winding and meet UL1950, UL1446, UL60950 and EN60601 safety standards. Furthermore, they can be purchased in most standard package types including surface mount, through-hole and wire wrap.
