The PI74LPT16244CAEX is a Logic-based integrated buffer, driver, receiver, and transceiver product. It consists of an array of low-voltage, high-impedance CMOS logic high speed TTL input ports, capable of driving logic high or low signals at levels of up to 5-V. A TTL-level logic decoder is connected to each input port to ensure an accurate logic response to both high and low input levels. The PI74LPT16244CAEX is ideal for applications that require high-speed, high-precision buffering, driving and/or receiving data signals.

Working Principle

The PI74LPT16244CAEX works in a number of different ways, depending on the specific application needs. It operates as a buffer when used as an input-only device, simply passing the input signals to the output unchanged, thus providing isolation between two different logic domains. When used as a driver, the PI74LPT16244CAEX can drive either high or low logic signals, depending on the state of the input ports.
