The PIS-0579 is an evaluation board featuring the PIR074AQ infrared (IR) motion sensor by Panasonic. This advanced, low-power, long-rangetoF motion sensor is suited for a variety of motion detection applications such as home security, occupancy detection and tracking, passive object recognition and proximity detection. The PIS-0579 board features a charge pump circuit to drive up to 4 high performance IR transducers, an amplifier for signal conditioning and Buffered TTL/I²C/UART digital logic interface for control and data monitoring. With this evaluation board, users can quickly and easily evaluate the performance of the PIR074AQ sensor.

The PIS-0579 is ideal for motion detection applications, such as home security and occupancy detection, where reliability and long-term accuracy are required. Because the PIS-0579 operates on a relatively low power, it can be advantageously used in battery-operated or energy-harvesting applications.
