The POE-GEVB is a high-performance graphical evaluation platform for evaluating applications in the field of Gigabit Ethernet (GE), Power over Ethernet (POE), and full-speed USB. This evaluation board has been designed to fully exploit the performance and features of the new PSoc 4 family from Cypress Semiconductor. The POE-GEVB provides a complete development and evaluation solution for applications associated with network control and communications.
The board is equipped with an on-board high-speed USB connector, a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet port, eight channels of fast analog input, four premium outputs for digital displays, and one analog output. A range of expansion ports are provided for connection to peripheral devices and expansion boards. These include USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI and GPIO.
The POE-GEVB offers the user a complete package for evaluating Gigabit Ethernet, Power over Ethernet, and USB applications. It supports both POE (Power over Ethernet) and GE (Gigabit Ethernet) protocols for network control and communications. It is also equipped with a high-performance MCU, 8-channel, 24-bit ADC and 4 DACs for analog performance and four premium outputs for digital displays. It also includes dedicated I2C, SPI, GPIO, and USB ports for connecting external devices.
The board is capable of servicing up to 16 independent and simultaneous requests simultaneously. This allows for complex applications such as home automation and industrial control, which require multiple real-time components. The POE-GEVB is designed to provide a high performance, flexible platform that allows for rapid development and testing of advanced network control and communications applications.
The board is fully compatible with the PSoc 4 family of MCUs from Cypress Semiconductor, allowing for fast development and efficient prototyping of applications.
