Working Principle

The pins of the connector are arranged in a way that when they fit into the receptacle, it has a positive latching mechanism, which effectively prevents unintentional disconnection. This positive latch works as follows: when the header is inserted into the female socket, it is held in place by a spring-loaded tab. When the header is pushed further into the female socket, this tab is released, allowing the header to rotate to the right to sit securely in the female socket.

In addition, the connector can be secured with two screws on each side for added stability. Once locked, the connector can withstand extremely strong vibrations or mechanical shocks without being accidentally detached.
