It is also commonly employed in hard disk drive, personal computer, and imaging systems.Working PrincipleThe circuit of the PT5026A is simple and internally self-regulating. It is made up of a Power MOSFET, a current-mode PWM controller, and a differential amplifier.The PT5026A uses current-mode PWM control, which allows fast, on-the-fly regulation of the output voltage. The device monitors the current at the output of the device and adjusts the duty cycle of the power switch accordingly. This feature eliminates loop requirements such as compensation pins and external resistors.The current-mode PWM control also reduces switching losses, allowing the device to switch at higher frequencies, resulting in better efficiency and improved noise immunity.
