Working Principle

The PTC polymeric material is designed to adjust its resistance based on its temperature, and when it reaches a predetermined temperature, known as the Thermal Fuse Trigger Temperature (TFT), it is designed to abruptly reduce its resistance, thereby tripping itself and providing over-current protection. Upon the fault condition being removed, the PTC polymeric material will gradually return to its original resistance state and enable the circuit to operate as normal.
