Film capacitors, also known as plastic film capacitors, are electrostatic capacitors with a thin plastic film as the dielectric. The structure of the PVC6182 is simple and reliable, which mainly consists of a single layer film, a brass outer electrode, a copper inner electrode, an insulating paper layer and a case. The withstand voltage of the single layer film can reach up to 250V.

The PVC6182 is designed with a special interference resistant device in which there is distributed inductance to eliminate the interference in both common mode and differential mode of different frequency. Plus, it has a superiorly low dissipation factor to help eliminate the current pulse noise and common- mode interference of power lines. The application field of the PVC6182 mainly includes three aspects. Firstly, as a interference suppression device, the PVC6182 is often used in welding power supplies, rectifiers, auto electronic assemblies, pulse power supply assemblies, motor controls, and very high frequency switching power supplies in the communication and broadcasting fields. Secondly, it is also used as snubber capacitor in switching power supply and high-frequency automatic control circuits. Last but not least, as a start-up capacitor, the PVC6182 is suitable for appliances with AC 50/60Hz frequency, such as household appliances.

The working principle of the PVC6182 is based on the idea that when the current passes through an electrode with a certain impedance, the rapid change of current will make the capacitor store charge and generate a secondary voltage, and finally resulting in interference.
