The PZC01DFAN series of rectangular connectors is a complete family of high-performance connectors. The PZC01DFAN series features two electrical contact configurations (bussed and non-bussed) and eight shell sizes, which are offered in open ended vertical/horizontal configurations and vertical/horizontal jackscrew mounting. The connectors are available with right-angle or straight printable tails and boardlock. Cinch’s robust boardlock technology provides more reliable electrical performance than conventional solder tail designs.

The PZC01DFAN series is ideal for applications that require robust electrical performance in space-challenged environments, and is much smaller in size than comparable circular connectors. Its compact housing is made of a UL 94V-0 rated thermoplastic material, with a self-latching design. This ensures reliable locking and strength across a wide temperature range while maintaining an exceptional performance level and a compact, lightweight design.

The receptacle contacts are made of phosphor bronze and the contacts are plated with gold over nickel. This improves the long-term performance of the connectors, eliminating premature contact erosion and preventing arcing. The pins and sockets are also plated with gold over nickel, ensuring reliable electrical connection and low contact resistance.

All connectors in the PZC01DFAN series feature double crimp contacts, ensuring a reliable connection with minimal contact resistance and ensures it’s a good fit with most cable types. The connector has a contact retention force of 2.0N minimum and the cable clamping force is 0.2N minimum. The twice crimped insulation displacement contacts also provide superior solder joint strength and increased reliability.
