Edge-type mezzanine connectors are designed for applications requiring high contact density in a short profile. QFS-026-04.25-H-D-PC4-P-TR is a type of edge-type mezzanine connector which is widely used in high-density computing, such as communications and industrial systems.

QFS-026-04.25-H-D-PC4-P-TR is a push-through type mezzanine connector, it is a two-piece connector with a supporting ledge that extends from the bottom of the mating piece to the top of the termination side. It allows a solder connection and press-fit contacts on the termination side. The contacts of the termination side are held between the mating piece and the supporting ledge. There is a hole on the supporting ledge for inserting the contact pins and the mating piece holds the pins in place. The contact pins are maintained accurately while the mating piece is closed, which ensures reliable contact with the contact pads.
