Working Principle

The QFS-048-01-L-D-DP-RA-K mezzanine connectors\' assembly includes a pair of mating boards with complimentary 2.54 mm pitch male and female slots, with the female part being on the lower lower board. It has two mounting holes on each side, to secure the upper board to the lower board. Inside, the mezzanine module is designed with two rows of contacts that are soldered to the target PCBs. This connector features an array of contacts, high voltage and reliable connection up to 15A current ratings, and temperature capability of between -55°C and 150°C.

In its operation, this connector provides greater flexibility due to its single-side-access-capability, meaning that the cables are easily accessed via the upper board. The opposite side’s contacts are accessible via the lower board using two deflectable tangs with all contact modules releasable. With its higher power needed for contact strength in order to assure connection reliability, this mezzanine connector features a robust construction. The tangs provide secure mating and unmating of the components, ensuring a robust connection and a reliable operation for the target application.
