QMS-026-05.75-L-D-A-RT1 is widely used by electronic engineers as an array edge connector type. It\'s generally used to connect an array of two printed circuit boards in a mezzanine board form.

Originally designed as Male Right Angle, this product comes with a two piece housing with the connector already assembled to the receptacle housing. It’s length is just over 5.75mm and the connector contains a row of 26 pins.These pins are divided into two parts: The right angle square pins for Power / Signal Inputs, and a series of beryllium copper contacts for Power / Signal Outputs.

There are two main ways to use the QMS-026-05.75-L-D-A-RT1:

• In a top to bottom type application, where one side of the connector is attached to the top of one PCB, and the other side is attached to the bottom side of another PCB.
• In a horizontal layout, where the top side of the connector is attached to one PCB and the bottom side is attached to another.

The working principle of this connector is as follows:

When the top portion of the connector is attached to the host PCBs, the contacts on the bottom portion of the connector then make contact with the power or signal inputs from the PCBs. This makes an electrical connection among the components on the PCBs.

The connector is also designed to be held in place by a pair of spring contacts, so that the connection between the two PCBs remains secure even when the host PCBs are sliding or being moved.

The QMS-026-05.75-L-D-A-RT1 also includes a pair of LED indicators that can be used to monitor the power and signal connection when the connector is in use. The LEDs light up when there is connection between the PCBs and will stay lit until the connection is lost.
